Finals Week Approaching

Hello everyone! I hope all of you had great week! It is almost time for finals at YCP and I am so eager for summer to begin. Finishing up my junior year and starting my internship is all very exciting! I just finished writing my last paper for this semester and will have finals to study for in the upcoming week. I will also have a lot of internship preparation to do as well. Right now I am figuring out what the syllabus will consist of, course material I want to cover, and what the first exam will cover. This coming week I also have my last Alpha Phi Sigma (criminal justice honor society) meeting. We will be finishing up last minute plans and talking about events for the upcoming school year.
I hope all of you are having great success as the school year is beginning to wind down! Have a great week! Talk to you next time!

Busy Week

Hello! I hope everyone had a great week. Since the end of the school year is approaching so quickly, everything has been a bit hectic this week. I have had meetings for organizations, fund raising, attended a scholarship dinner, selected housing for next year, completed readings, finished up a few class assignments, and I have also been working on things for my internship this summer. Housing went well for my future roommates and I. We are living on west campus in Brockie Commons. It will fun to explore a new campus atmosphere and get to live in such great apartments! I am really looking forward to living there, because I have heard such positive comments about the apartment complex as well as the surrounding area (other campus apartments). This was weekend is filled with an induction ceremony for Alpha Phi Sigma and a Who’s Who among students recognition ceremony. Tomorrow, I have an exam and Wednesday as well. This is going to be another busy week!
I hope everyone has been doing well! Talk to you next time!

Hello!

Hello! I hope everyone had a great week! The end of the school year is approaching quickly and I am busy working on papers due at the end of the semester. This past weekend was fairly busy at York College of Pennsylvania. There was an open house held for high school sophomores and juniors, which included informational sessions and tours. I worked the registration table and helped out with about five tours. For some reason it usually rains on open house days, which makes for a rather unpleasant tour conditions. Luckily, we had great weather to give the tours! This week I have a number of meetings and dinners to attend. Alpha Phi Sigma is conducting an induction ceremony (followed by a dinner) and York College is also honoring students who have been accepted into Who’s Who’s Among Students. This week is also when students pick their housing for next year. I am really excited to decide on a place to live for my senior year. My roommates and I are hoping to get an apartment on west campus.
I hope everyone has a great week! Talk to you next time!

Happy Easter!

Hello! I hope everyone had a great Easter! It was so nice to have a break and get to spend some time at home with friends and family. I was able to visit friends from high school and have a delicious Easter dinner with my extended family. Holidays are always exciting, because I am able to see family members that I do not often get to visit.
There is about one month of school remaining in the semester. I am so excited to finish up my current courses and get ready for my internship and senior year! I think since scheduling is over, becoming a senior and thinking about graduate school is finally becoming reality. For now though, I need to concentrate on finishing up this semester. I have a lot of reading to do this week, as well as meetings and an open house this weekend! YCP Open House events are always exciting, because I am able to meet many prospective students and give a lot of tours.
I hope everyone has a great week! Talk to you soon!

Almost Break Time!

Hello! I hope everyone had a great week! This week I scheduled for classes for the upcoming Fall 07' semester. I am very excited about the courses I will be taking. Since it will be my senior year, I arranged my schedule so that I will only have to take twelve credits per semester (four courses). I will be taking Senior Seminar for criminal justice, Theory/Policy (to satisfy a requirement for my human service minor), Comparative Criminal Justice, and Policing in America. The best part about my schedule is that I will have no Friday classes! I am extremely excited!
This weekend was a lot of fun. I went out to eat with my friends (roommates and other campus ambassadors) at White Rose Café, which is a great restaurant near York College. It was funny, because at White Rose we saw a few members of the York admissions faculty! After that we went to the movies located nearby at The West Manchester Mall. This weekend I also went to the Park City Mall. I needed to buy some nice clothes for my internship this summer. Otherwise, this weekend I have been studying for my upcoming exams.
I hope everyone has a great week! Talk to you next time!
