Happy Holidays!

Hello everyone! Christmas break is almost here. I have one more final to go! This has been a very stressful week filled with a ton of studying. Classes ended this past Tuesday and I will finsih up finals week on the nineteenth. My roommates and I have basically been camped out in our living room studying for exams all week. We also sold back books that we were finished with at book buy back in the YCP Bookstore. I was able to get cash for my text books that I will no longer be using.

As for now I am going to keep studying and get through one last final. I hope everyone has a great holiday and I will talk to you after the break!

It's Cold Outside!

The end of the semester is almost here! YCP students just finished their last full week of class! This coming week begins with two regular days of classes, reading day comes on Wednesday (a day break to study before finals week starts), and Thursday kicks off finals week.

This past week has been very hectic to say the least. I finished up Tai Chi (my physical fitness class) and a number of projects and papers. I also had two exams and am currently studying for an exam on Monday. During finals week I have many of my exams on Friday the fifteenth and one on the following Tuesday. After my Group Dynamics final on Tuesday I go home for Christmas break! That will be much needed time off before I begin the Spring 2007 semester.

Also during this past weekend (besides studying for my Monday exam) I was able to attend an event put on by our campus activities board. This event included aqua massages, an oxygen station, late night breakfast, holiday crafts, and many more fun activities! My roommates and I all participated in this event to have a fun relaxing activity to attend on Saturday night. This event was held from 10 p.m. until 2 a.m.

I hope everyone has a great week! Talk to you next time!

Hello Everyone!

Hello! I hope everyone had a great week. This week seemed to go by rather quickly. I can't believe the semester is almost over! I successfully scheduled for the Spring 2007 semester this past Monday. Next semester I will be taking four main classes and one gym class. Research Methods II is a continuation of Research Methods I (a class I am currently taking). This class is basically applying everything I learned in the preceding class. I will conduct a survey and statistically analyze my findings in order to determine if the given findings confirm the stated hypothesis. I will also be taking Judicial Process and Punishment/Corrections. These are two other criminal justice courses that will impart knowledge on various aspects of the criminal justice system. The Family is a class that will fulfill my last area distribution two requirement at York College and Modern Dance (a one credit gym class) will fulfill my last required physical education credit.

This week I also was able to sit in on a class where a potential behavioral science faculty candidate was interviewing for a position at YCP. This was a very interesting process because the class was able to sit through a lecture, ask the interviewee questions, and fill out a confidential survey, which looked at student opinions and thoughts about hiring the potential candidate.

This Saturday I was able to attend the YCP Rhapsody concert. This is a musical event held every semester by a group of extraordinarily talented individuals (one of which happens to be one of my best friends and roommates). They sing well known songs and there is always a packed audience waiting to listen. After the concert my friends and I went to the local diner to hang out before returning to the apartment for the night.

I hope everyone has a great week! Talk to you next time!
