Back From Thanksgiving Break

Hello! I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and ate tons of good food. It was really nice to have time off from school to relax and catch up with friends from home. Seeing extended family and planning for the upcoming Christmas season was also a very exciting part of break. It is a tradition to decorate our Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving. I know decorating for Christmas immediately after Thanksgiving is a bit early from some people, but since I am home (and the entire family is together) it is a good time for everyone in the family to partake in the festivities.

Thanksgiving break provided me with a lot of rest and relaxation to get through the next two and a half weeks of classes and finals week (yes I have a countdown). With the semester coming to an end, students at York College are preparing for finals and scheduling for classes we will need next semester. I schedule tomorrow and will keep you posted as to the classes I enroll in for the Spring.

Everyone have a great week!

It's Almost Thanksgiving

Hey everyone! I hope you had a great week. I'm sure many students at York College had a very busy week considering the semester is coming to an end. Finals week is quickly approaching and I have a ton of school work to finish up! Luckily I will have some time over break to work on various papers and projects for my classes. This past week I had two major exams and a quiz. For the better part of the week I was consumed with studying research methods and juvenile justice.

This weekend was a lot of fun! My friends and I went to the Park City Mall to pick up some gifts and ate at the Macaroni Grill, which is currently one of my favorite restaurants. We also rented movies from Blockbuster to watch Friday and Saturday night. This weekend I also visited a friend who lives in the Phi Sig house. Phi Sig is one of the sororities on campus. They have a really nice house that some of the sisters live in and all of the girls I met were really friendly. After I left, I went to a local diner with some friends before returning back to New Tyler Apartments for the night.

That pretty much sums up my week. I only have two days (Monday and Tuesday) of classes this week because of Thanksgiving break. I am really excited to go home and see my family and friends. Hope everyone has a great week. Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello Everyone!

Hello! I hope everyone had a great week! This was a very busy week for me at York College. I had two exams and a project to finish. I also attended Spartapalooza. This was an event put on in the Grumbacher Center (the new gymnasium). I brought a non-perishable food donation for the entrance fee and was able to participate in a plethora of activities. Free food, music, and events (sumo wrestling, tattoos, pie throwing, and contests) were all available for student enjoyment from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Tuesday night.

I had to go home this weekend. It was great to get a break from schoolwork and relax in Gettysburg. My grandfather (who lives in Florida) was visiting for his seventieth birthday celebration. My family and I went out for dinner, opened gifts, and ate a lot of ice-cream cake! Since I do not get to see many of my family members often, having a family get-together was a lot of fun.

Now I am back at school and preparing for two exams I have coming up this week. I'm sure it will be another busy week at York College but Thanksgiving break is coming up soon! I am very excited to have some time off before finals week in December!

Everyone have a great week!

Fun Weekend

Hey everyone! I hope you had a great week. My week was filled with school work but I was able to have a fun filled weekend. One of my roommates celebrated her twenty-first birthday. The rest of my roommates and I took her to Cheeseburger in Paradise (a local favorite restaurant among students) for dinner. After we ate a huge amount of food we came back to our apartment to open gifts and eat a ton of birthday cake. This weekend I also went to Baltimore with my roommates. York College is located near many exciting locations, the Inner Harbor in Baltimore is a great day trip. We visited the Baltimore Aquarium, ate at the Hard Rock Café, and even had time to get some shopping in at the mall before heading back to York. Later that night we went to Round the Clock Diner for a late night snack. You will typically find many York College students at the diner late at night on the weekends. It is a great place to hang out with friends and get some food. Today was not as eventful as Friday and Saturday but still a lot of fun. My roommate and I went to the local mall (York Galleria), before heading back to the college to get some work done before class begins for the week.

Hope everyone has a great week! Talk to you later!
