Shopping at midnight??

Hope everyone had a great turkey break!! I certianly had a great weekend!!! :-D It was nice to be home and see all of my friends again. Turkey dinner was good. It was just my parents, my brother and my grandmother. Then we watched the movie elf and I fell asleep.. good times. :-)
Then my family and I heard that the wrentham outlets which is about an hour north of me, were opening at midnight and we decided, gee, lets do something crazy and different and go shopping at midnight!!!!! Sure, what a great idea!!! So we left at 11, to be there around 12. So we're driving on our way there and all of a sudden theres traffic!!! 6 miles away from the exit and there is bumper to bumper traffic in 3 lanes!!!! So we figured, hmm.. maybe there was an accident (ya, with all these cars on the highway at midnight!!) But 5 1/2 miles later, no accident.. this was traffic to the outlets!!! well, screw that!!!!! We just turned around and went home. There was nothing we wanted THAT bad to stay in that traffic, find a parking space and deal with all those people at midnight. Didnt get home till 2:30 and on the way home we drove by wal-mart who already had some tents set up in front of the store!!!!! crazy crazy people.
My boyfriend came down on Friday and stayed for the weekend to check out the area and meet everyone. We went and saw the Lizzie Borden museum in Fall River, MA. This was quite an experience for me, living 20 mins away from the museum and have never been!!! For those of you who dont know the story of Lizzie Borden, Lizzie killed her father and step-mother and similar to the OJ Simpson trial, had lots of evidence that could've proved her guilty but instead was aquited.

Thats me looking at the photos taken at the crime standing in the same exact spot where LIZZIE KILLED HER STEPMOM!!!
The funny part is that the museum is now a bed and breakfast, so if you wanted to you could have slept in the same room where LIZZIE KILLED HER STEPMOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-O
no thanks...
Also, got my christmas lights up at my house and yesturday JUST got perty lights up in my dorm room!!!!!!! Soo perty!!!!!!!!! :-D So those pictures will be up soon. So excited for the Christmas season!!!!!! :-D
For now, im off to dinner and then I must do more work for chem. Friday we have our last exam before the final... ::crosses fingers:: I'll let you know how that goes...
Have a great night all.. :-)

The day of bad luck

I must say, as great as college has been, its so nice to be home. :-)
But I must tell you about my wonderful last day on campus before I went home. Unfortunately, I had to stay for bio lab and couldnt leave till 5:30ish. So basically, Im running around all day like a chicken with its head cut off just because Im soo anxious to get home!!
To start off the day, I wake up late. My roommate Tiff has her alarm clock going off at 7, then she hits the snooze button and for some apparent reason it doesnt go off again and mine didnt go off cause I set it for 7PM instead of AM, yeah, real smart Jess!! So I have a precal exam at 8 and I get up at 7:40 and Im getting my things together and wheres the calculator?? Looking all over the place for the damn calculator and oh, I left it in my boyfriends car after we went and studied for precal at panera bread (i love that place!) last night.. smart move #2. Instead I took Tiff's calculator that I have no clue how to work to take my precal exam, even though Im already not doing well in the class. cool beans.

So now I have an hour and a half to kill before my bio class, ok, ill get some things together to bring home for the weekend. I go out to bring my dirty laundry to my car to bring home and cause Im in such a rush just to get to class to finish the day.. I dont think and lock my keys in the car.. smart move #3!! So I went to bio class, called AAA when I got out, went to lunch, missed AAA's CALL, called them again, forgot my pocket book in the cafeteria!!! phew!!! But eventually, they came, I got my keys, got my pocket book from the cafeteria and everything was packed and ready to go!! Luckily, the bio lab was very short and I was about by 4 and soon I was on my way home!!!!!!

By 5:30, Im near Boston and I have the choice, should I go through Boston at this hour or just go around it?? Well I decided what the hell, I'll go see the city life!!! Of course, theres crazy mad traffic and it took an HOUR to get through. I really don't think I even hit the gas petal at all until I reached the bridge near the Banknorth Garden. But crazy me, actually had a great time going through traffic.
My favorite part of the drive home was finally getting my favorite radio stations on. Listening to Coast 93.3 play Christmas music definatly made the ride through traffic more enjoyable! :-)

Oh, I love being home. My favorite part is finally taking a shower without flip flops and having soo much SPACE!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! :-) Its also been great seeing all my friends again. Last night I went to my school's bonfire, saw everyone and then we went to dunkin donuts and really sat there for a good hour and half just talking and laughing.. some gooood times!!
I am soo stuffed right now, I think Im heading to bed. Hope everyone has a FANTASTIC Thanksgiving break!!!! :-D

blah..

Sorry its been awhile. School has been kicking my butt right now!!!!! Things are a little bit better now. :-) Friday night/Saturday morning at 12 AM we had to register for classes for second semester!!! Good news is that I dont have to take biology ever again!! :-D bad news is that I have to take English composition.. boo!! :-( But hopefully next semester will be better than the first.
Havent really done anything too exciting that past couple of weeks. Hung out back at home last weekend, it was nice to be home. I think the most exciting part of going back home is when you start hearing your favorite radio station again. I have to say, being in my own cozy bed was quite exciting as well!
Yesturday, a group of us went hiking on some trail with pretty waterfalls 3 hours north of the campus. It was a great way to spend Saturday besides sitting in the dorm rooms all day. Very very pretty!!

The worst part of the trail, but most exciting cause I love doing crazy things was crossing this river that was knee-deep that must've been 35-40° ish. FREEZING!

And of course.. the beautiful sunset on the drive home... :-)
