Stress......X

First of all, SO sorry that it has been so long.

Now to the fun stuff...

Classes are officially done today!!! (For me it was yesterday...hehe)

To end the semester (every semester) and give everyone a break from tests, papers and labs, the Activities Programming Board (APB) holds Stress X. It is a day of fun and relaxing activities for all students to enjoy.

The main event is Stuff- a-Bear.
Step One: choosing a carcass.
This year we had dog, leopard, elephant, panda bear, tiger, giraffe, lion, and a teddy.

Step Two: stuff and fluff (this stuff feels amazing...I just wanna lie in it!)

Step Three: design your tee shirt!
We have mini shirts with the APB theme of the semester on the front. Most people write their stuffy's name on the back.

TaaDaa: Meet Josie the Giraffe
Yes I will be 21 in 26 days...but I still love stuffed animals and will name them.

Also available for your creative side...
A table of hemp, embroidery floss and beads to make stellar jewelry.
White frames to decorate and add a cute photo.

And smelly jelly jars...

In a separate room, 15 minute free back/shoulder/arm massages are available from a local spa. They are absolutely amazing and perft to release all that tension in your shoulders and neck from hovering over books and pounding away at the keyboard.

As always, there is tons of candy and a raffle for free goodies!!!

Raffle tickets are handed out to all who attend and numbers are called throughout the day. Some of my fav items were all of those great coffee mugs accompanied by various coffees, teas, and hot cocoas, comfy throw blankets, tons of DVDs, and a knitting bag with yarn and needles. Other prizes included footballs and board games.

All of these activities are held in the Hang and the multi-purpose rooms just off of the Hang. So after all your crafting and relaxing, you can enjoy a meal and watch some television on the big screen too.

It is my favorite event and a great break from the stress of finals.

All that stands between me and a month of relaxation and festivites is two take home finals. I have it much easier this semester than most of my friends. They are all running around like big stress balls. I'll have payback next semester with six courses though!!!
