Allergies or a Cold?
Yep, I've already contracted my first cold of the year. Joy...
I was trying hard to convince myself yesterday it was just allergies, but this morning definately told me different. Unfortunately, classes are getting busier because...it is ALREADY October!!! Therefore, missing a class is not that easy to do.
A word to everyone still in High School...
As I reflect on the colds I had during High School, I remember taking a day off was easy peasy. Your parents call in to say you won't be in school and you assume your position on the couch with a bottle of gingerale and you find the channel of TGIF reruns (yes, I watched Boy Meets World and Sabrina!!!).
But today, with a quick glance at my course syllabi, I realized missing classes this week, impossible! Not to mention that I have 2 papers due on Thursday and a test next week. Missing classes would be surely academic death. (Well that is exageration...I would just be lagging behind. I don't like being behind.)
OK, so I take a nice hot shower and chug down some OJ, and truck off to class. My plan is to go, suffer through it, come back and sleep it off. HA, I got back home and all I could think about is the reading to do and the papers to write.
I don't want to scare you, but you just need to pay attention to your health.
Stock up on some Air Born...cause my mom the nurse swears by it. Eat healthy foods. Include lots of vitamin C. Wear the appropriate clothes when it starts cooling off (cause even though it looks like summer out your window, it is officially fall)....last but not least, run from any one who shows signs of sickness. Doing homework and going to class just isn't fun when you're sick.
So now that I've whined to all of you, I'm off to bed in hopes of feeling amazing tomorrow!!!
