Back To Schooool!
I've finally moved back to school! After a much needed, 3 week break, I am back in my humble abode known as Siena! I've been back for a few days for RA training and I'm finally getting a chance to sit down and tell you all about my break! Well, break started back in December after my last final! Sam and I drove back home together so we could pool our money for gas and so we didn't have to take two cars. Toni and my parents were really excited for us to be back! It was good to be back (despite the 4 1/2 hour drive!) My grandmother had a Christmas party the weekend before Christmas. It was fun. I got to see all my little cousins and other relatives that I haven't seen in a long time. After Christmas mass on Christmas Eve, we went to my aunt's house for another Christmas party and then we went home.
Christmas Day was really great! I think it's the only day of the year that all five of us stay home, in our pajamas and never leave the house or really do much of anything. We opened our presents and stockings, had a nice meal, and just hung out all day. It was weird spending Christmas in a different house than I'm used to, but everything was good!
Later that week Sam and I drove back to Southern Maine to spend time with Jon and Jake (respectively). Jake and I just hung out, we didn't do much, just went shopping and to the movies. On New Years, Jon and Sam had a party at Jon's condo. It was fun, I got to meet some of the girls that Sam goes to school with. Jake and Jon both had to go back to school on the 2nd, so Sam and I drove back home to Calais. We just spent our last hanging out and helping around the house. We also got to see Toni and our cousin Hillary play some basketball.
Overall, break was good. Though I love being home and seeing my family, I was ready to get back to school. You never think that you'll actually want to go back to school until you experience a winter break in college. I hope everyone had happy holidays (if you celebrate them) and a happy new year. It will be interesting to see what 2008 will bring us and the rest of the world!
