Life as an RA

Hey Everyone!! Hope your weeks are going swell! This week has been a little stressful for me, but it's Friday, so I'm happy now! I wanted to do an entry about what it's been like being an RA. It's a lot of work but for the most part I have fun! There are some of my residents who are on the floor alot more so I've become really good friends with them! We watch TV on wednesday nights, go to dinner together, and they're always bothering (haha jk) me in my room!

Here's me on move in day!

On Wednesday we like to watch America's Next Top Model. Some of the girls come down and we pile on my bed and watch tv.

As an RA I'm required to put on programs for my residents. We have to do educational ones, ones for fun, ones outside the dorm, and lots of other different things! I did my first program this past wednesday night. We decorated the hallway for Halloween. A few days before a couple girls from the floor and I went to the Dollar Store and got decorations.

We liked playing with the costumes!

I don't have pictures of the hallway yet, but when I get some I'll post them!!

Being an RA is fun, but it's a lot of work too. Lots of meetings and paperwork and having to deal with lots of different issues. I've yet to have any major problems (knock on wood). It's been fun so far, but I'll keep you all updated as the year progresses!!

Fall's in full swing and I'm so happy! Thanksgiving's just around the corner and I can't wait to go home and have some good, home-cooked fooood! Enjoy your weekends and the rest of next week!
