"Back to school! Back to school, to prove to Dad that I'm not a fool!"

Okay, before I tell ya'll about my vacation and first week back, I just want to thank Megan for commenting and also congratulate her for getting accepted and choosing to come to UNE!!! I also wanted to answer her question: So...here it goes! I don't really know if the applied Exercise Science program is different than mine, but I can tell you that the "science curriculum" is not unrealistic. It is definitely possible to handle. Last semester I took 17 credits, ran Cross Country, had work study, and became president of the class and I made the Dean's List. A big part about coming to college is the bigger work load and also the greater expectation of you as a student. Yeah, it's hard and you'll probably have some pretty late nights studying in Alfond or the Library, but if you work hard, stay organized, and keep motivated, then you'll be fine!!! Good luck with the rest of high school, and hopefully I'll see you around campus!!! Thanks again for commenting on my blog!

Vacation was good. I didn't do much except work and hang out with my friends, but I had lots of fun doing both!!! I came home December 21st. It was so nice to be home for more than a couple days! I got to sleep in my own, comfy bed, and I got to eat some home-cooked meals!!! Christmas with my family was great!! We stayed in our pajamas all day, opened presents, and had an AMAZING dinner! It was really great seeing my friends from high school too!!! We all hung out as much as our schedules would allow! I miss them already, but spring break is just around the corner. New Year's was fun too! I went to a friends house and we played some games, hung out, and had sparkling cider when the clock struck midnight! It was fun, but I was really tired the next day when I had to work...on New Year's Day!!!! Pretty much Christmas and New Year's were the highlights of vacation. The rest was pretty low key!!

I came back to campus this past Tuesday (the 16th). It was nice to get back to school, but nothing compares to home! Classes started on Wednesday and of course my first class is Chemistry...at 8:00 in the morning!! boo! The rest of the week I had classes and I got an off campus job at Ruby Tuesday in Biddeford! I've worked for Ruby Tuesday in Bangor for almost 2 years, so I thought that I would transfer up here so I can make more money to start saving for next year's tuition! Friday night was my first night ever serving ( I hosted and did ToGo before) and I loved it! It's definitely a lot of hard work, but it was fun, and the money's better!
Here's what my schedule looks like for this semester:
Monday- Chem 8-8:50
English 9-9:50
Work Study- 10-1
Biology 3-3:50
Philosophy- 5:30-8:20
Tuesday- NOTHING
Wednesday- Same as monday except where the philosophy class is, I have Worl Music
Thursday- Biology Lab 9:30-12:20
Chem Lab 2:30-5:20
Friday- Same as Monday except the day ends with Bio.
It's a tough schedule (18 credits) But it'll be fun!

So far the semester has been good! I hope that I do as well as I did last semester!! Well, I'm off to do some English reading...talk to ya'll next week!!!

-Andrew-
