Class of 2010
Major: Nursing
From: Waldoboro, ME

« Thanksgiving and Clinical | Main | Preceptor »

Well my clinical group just presented our Grand Rounds. I literally just got back from class. It went so well. Everyone seemed to like it and they complimented us on our skit. Yes we had a skit. I played a nurse and a student nurse (the character came so naturally for me). We had a patient with cirrhosis of the liver and we made sure our ‘patient’ looked very jaundice. We just took our last nursing test this semester, but we do have to take a nursing final in the middle of December.

What will I be doing with my time away from the classroom you may ask? Well I’ll be at preceptor at Miles. I start this Monday at Miles Memorial Hospital. To be graded for preceptor students, like myself, set goals we wish to accomplish and write journals about our day and what we did. The key is to not only learn the physical aspects of nursing, but also learn the emotional aspects of nursing too. It should be a very interesting time. I’ll be sure to share with you some of my experiences.

This is what Miles looks like. Very nice view.

Well I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving. I know I will!
