Thoughts I've had and one question

Hello everyone! Well my second semester is going well. I just had three exams in less than a week. That really shook me out of coming back from my winter break. I guess I like to keep things organized so I’ll write some of the differences I have noticed compared to my first semester in a short list.
1. The reading for nursing has amplified
2. My responsibilties in clinical have increased
3. I’m learning so much in nursing class and clinical
4. I’m getting used to waking a 5:30am
I told you it was short. But there are other things that are new here at the Westbrook College Campus. For example I am taking part in the Finley Rec. Center Fitness Challenge. It is great! The Fitness Challenge is giving those who sign up for the challenge prizes for working out for 30 minuets a day three times a week! I think this helps some of us who just don’t want to get out of bed to throw on our gym shorts and hit the treadmill (or the elliptical, whichever you prefer).

Another thing that I would like to say is how well the snow plow guys here in Portland have kept our roads and parking lot clean and clear. I remember waking up at 6 in the morning to the crashing sound outside my door. I thought there was a car accident outside, but no it was just the plow guys getting a jump on the snow.

While my thoughts are running free - One other thing that his been on my mind is why is the Westbrook Campus called Westbrook? The campus is actually right in the middle of Portland. It’s just a short distance to Forest Ave., Brighten Ave, and Congress Street! That’s 3 of the top 8 major roads in Portland. I know this used to be Westbrook College (you can learn the history of WCC here ~ did you know it only cost 3 dollars to attend). But shouldn’t UNE have called this the Portland College Campus after they merged the colleges? It would be helpful to those who still think the Westbrook College Campus is in Westbrook. I’ll admit I thought it did.
