Whew. I am exhausted. I am counting the days.

My placement has been pretty busy. I really like the work but there is no question that the place can be chaotic. Sometimes I look up and realize I have been there 5 or more hours without attending to any basic personal needs! During the past couple of weeks I picked up another client, Thanksgiving came along, and then the holiday craziness descended. I am ready for the semester to end so I can lessen the load on my plate for a little while. The juggling is getting to me a bit.

This may be partly because it's been a busy few weeks on the family side of things. We were all just recovering from a round of some sort of virus when the van broke down and had to be towed. The transmission was the problem. Fortunately it was covered under warranty even though the car is 8 years old - something about a recurring problem with our make and model. We were down one car for about a week, though, which required some rearranging of the family schedule. It was good that we got the car in tip-top shape because last week a family member died in CT, necessitating a trip up north over this past weekend. We stayed overnight in NYC in the process of things, catching the holiday sights. It was fun and all but now I really feel it catching up with me. Is it Friday yet?
