Spring is ACTUALLY Here!

Hey guys, I'm sorry that it has been awhile since my last blog. My class schedule and work load has been crazy and loaded. So, now I finally have nothing to do and can sit down and write a blog.

ALOT has happened since my last blog; I won't go into great detail but I will highlight the big events that happened here on campus. As per my heading for this blog, the weather has been amazing here at Scranton. Temperatures near 70s almost everyday, expect for a few days it rained. Overall it has been AMAZING here! I like seeing all of the people out on the commons and around campus just sitting out in the amazing weather and just having a great time.

A couple weeks ago we had our Spring Concert! Paulson, The Starting Line, and Hawthorne Heights came to play for us in the Long Center. I didn't have the chance to go to it because I had to go home that weekend, but my friends said that it was a really good concert. All of the bands were amazing and my friends had a really great time.

Just last night we had Take Back the Night. This is nation wide event that helps people be aware of sexual violence, mainly against women. The event was a big hit! The event occurred on the entire commons. There were many tables informing people on different types of sexual assault and different options that are available for people that have been sexually assaulted. It was a great success!

Also, this week that I'm writing this blog, it is Support Life Week. It is a themed week here on campus where people are supporting life. The people running are just trying to get out there how precise life is and how valuable life is. There are many speakers coming in and talking about different types of issues from Abortion, Supporting Life, etc. It's a very important topic that they are trying to address and get people to be aware of how valuable life is.

I also got a new work-study job here at the U. I'm now working at the Visitor Center for the admissions office. It's pretty amazing where I work. I work with a lot of fun and interesting people. Deena and Kelsey are pretty cool. Just today Deena pranked phone called me pretending to be a prospective student’s mother. It was really funny; it must be like a whole iniation type thing. I think it's going to be fun working here!

I hope I got you caught up with everything that has been going on. There's only three more weeks left of school and my first semester will be over. Time really went by fast.

Cya!
-Robert
