« IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!!!! | Main | PAST 2 WEEKS = AMAZING!!! »

What a week!!

Hey guys! Hope everything is going well for everyone.

Recap of this weekend and what a weekend it was.
First, Friday all my friends took me out to dinner to celebrate my birthday it was soo much fun. Everyone had a blast. There's pictures below that you can look at. My friends are so amazing that they would to that for me. TO MY FRIENDS: YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME AND I LOVE YOU ALL!!! Also this weekend I had my very first RA interview! It was so nerve-racking. Let me explain how it went. A few days before the interview I was talking with all of my friends that are RAs, asking them questions about the interview and what type of questions that they might be asking me. I think they got sick of me coming to see them so much, but it helped me in the long run. My interview was on Friday night; let me just tell you that it was snowing really hard that night and I had to walk on the all the way to the other end of campus to Hyland Hall for my interview. I almost died just walking there. So anyways, I got there and waited for when it was my time to get interviewed. When it was my time there was an Area Coordinator there and four other current RAs there that ran my interview. First part of my interview I had to run a "mock" first floor meeting and how I would going about doing that. I think it went really well; they all seemed to enjoy my icebreaker and asking questions. Then it came time for the real hard-hitting questions. I think that went really well too. When it was over, they all seemed pretty happy and had a great time, which made me feel confident that I had a great interview. I had to wait until Wednesday to find out if I was going to get asked back for a second interview, which I did. The second interview doesn't mean I got the position or did, because not everyone got asked back and means the same thing. Now I have to get ready for this interview, which is a group one. I hope it goes really well and I end up getting an RA position, which will be really cool. So, all you freshman guys, LOOK OUT, I can just be your RA for next year!!!!!

School wise, classes aren't too bad. There's a lot of work this semester, only because I'm taking 8 classes(which is 17 credits). So, I really need to buckle down and do my work more than I did last year(not saying that I didn't do my work last semester. Also, it's SOO cold outside and walking to class is horrible. There are days where I don't want to get out of bed because my bed is so warm and it's so cold outside; got to do what I go to do.

Hope you guys have a great week and I'll keep you guys posted on my RA position.
TTYL!
~Robert
