Applicants - Midyear Grades Reminder
As we reach mid-February, just a quick reminder to all students who have applied to PC Regular Decision, or were deferred to Regular Decision from the Early Action review:
Please make sure that your high school sends us your midyear grades as soon as they become available. Many high schools will automatically send those grades along to all of the colleges and universities you have applied to, but some high schools only send them upon request. We need your midyear grades in order to complete the review process, so if your high school does only send midyears upon request, please ask your guidance office to send them along to us! Thanks!

Hello!
There was a large mistake on my report card (D instead of A is VERY worrisome), because the secretary messed up when transferring the grades from my teacher into the computer. Guidance sent an updated report card with my ACTUAL grade, but I can't help but worry that the people viewing my application will not see the right report card. What can I do? Thanks so much. :)

Hi Samantha,
That IS a large mistake! Can you e-mail me with your full name, your high school, and the class with the incorrect grade? I will find your file and make sure that the right transcript is in there.
You can e-mail that information to me at admission@providence.edu.
And, don't worry - we'll make sure we review the right transcript!

Is there an online application status check? My daughter's school sends mid year grades by USPS and we need to confirm that you have received them .Her Mid year grades were excellent and could make a difference after being EA deferred.

Hi Lou,
We do not currently have an online application status check. However, if you e-mail me your daughter's name and high school, I will check to see if her midyear grades have arrived. You can e-mail that information to me at admission@providence.edu.
Thanks,
Scott

Hi Scott,
I'll be sure to send an email, but what do midyear reports look like? For example, do they show separately the quarter grades and final, or do you get simply one final grade for each course? I want to make sure I send the right information. Thank you so much.

Hi Samantha,
What midyear grade reports look like vary from school to school. Some will be simply the semester (or trimester) grade, while at other schools it will show the first two quarters and midterm exam separately. Whatever version your high school uses is fine with us.
We will need your high school guidance office to send your official midyear grades directly to us (they will know what to send!)
