More Waiting List Information

For those of you on the waiting list, here is the most up-to-date information we have for you: This past weekend, a small group of students were admitted to PC from our waiting list. We anticipate that further activity will take place sometime early next week.

We were particularly cautious with our offers of admission this year to make sure that we did not over-enroll our residence hall capacity. Therefore, it has been our expectation that we would be able to accommodate some students from the waiting list for the Class of 2011.

Remember, the number of additional offers we will make will depend on the number of additional deposits we receive through the May 1 postmark deadline. This will also give us the opportunity to evaluate our full financial aid expenditures to determine if funding will be available to any students admitted in the future.

Over the next couple of weeks, we will be monitoring waiting list activity at other institutions to determine whether any students who have deposited at Providence College decide to change their plans. In order for us to assure that we do not fall short of our class goal because of the loss of deposits, we anticipate that we will keep the waiting list active through the month of May.

At the point when we determine that there are no longer spaces available in the class, all students remaining on the waiting list will be notified in writing. Unless you hear from us directly, the waiting list is still active.

Please continue to check your e-mail for updated waiting list information, and I will continue to post new developments here as they happen.
