The short answer to your question is (so far): Yes. Keep in mind that we have not yet reached our Regular Decision deadline so we don't know what that applicant pool will look like, but the Early Action applicant pool was both much larger than last year and extremely strong academically. Therefore, with a 45% increase in the number of applications and no drop off in quality, it certainly was more competitive EA than it was last year and has been for the last few years.
