Happy Spring Break

Hey everyone! I'm a so excited because Spring Break is finally here. It has been a crazy few weeks and I'm ready for a break.

I don't have too much on the schedule for once. This year, I am actually going to enjoy Spring Break as a week where I don't have to lift a finger...except to work on all my homework...maybe get ahead in a few of my classes. I'll be spending the first few days with John and his family. His birthday was this week, so we will be having a big party for him. We also get to meet the newest addition to his family; his cousin had a baby boy a few weeks ago. I can't wait. I love babies.

Other than that, I will be spending a very relaxing week with my mom and dad, plus the 3 dogs. Unfortunately, my sister's spring break is the week after mine, but we will have a few days together.

Relay season is rapidly approaching as well as graduation. Speaking of graduation, I found out that I was accepted to IUP for Grad School!! I will be starting there in the fall for the Student Affairs in Higher Education program. I can't wait.

Have a great week!

God Bless,

Laura

60 in February

Wow! Yesterday was absolutely beautiful! The weather was around the 60s and everybody at MAC was taking advantage of it. The sweatpants and coats disappeared and the shorts and flip flops were everywhere. Who could blame them? It's not everyday we see 60 degrees in February...and in Cresson of all places!! Some of the professors even moved their classes outside to take advantage of the awesome gift. I know I thoroughly enjoyed it. :o)

Yesterday, my friends and I also attended a Professional Etiquette Dinner. Career Services and SGA co-sponsored the event for seniors. The whole idea was to properly educate graduating seniors on proper etiquette and attire for a business dinner. I only remembered a few things from the program I attended as a freshman, so I was definitely glad that I went to refresh my memory. It's also fun to turn in the MAC hoodie and dress up every now and then. I thought that the program went very well and that all the students and faculty enjoyed themselves.

Well, I should probably get going...plenty of homework waiting for me!

God Bless,

Laura

Way To Go Steelers!!

How about that number 6?? I don't know about you guys, but that was one heck of a Superbowl. There wasn't a single, solitary, dull moment. Although, I thought the commercials were a bit lacking this year, overall, I wasn't disappointed. How could I have been after that miraculous finger-tip catch by the amazing Santonio Holmes?? I had a blast watching the game with John's family. He was right. It was definitely a party I didn't want to miss.

We also spent the weekend playing in the snow...one of my favorite aspects of winter! We couldn't take the four wheeler out because the snow was too deep, so we decided on snow tubing. However, after one trip down the hill, we quickly realized that the snow was also too deep for that. On the hike back up the hill, I discovered that I was too short to make it through the ridiculous snow drifts. I was literally up to my waist in snow and John almost had to rescue me. Haha.

Overall, it was an enjoyable weekend. I'm glad to be back at school simply because I have a ton of work to do...lots of reading. So, I think I'm going to fix myself a nice cup of hot chocolate :o) and cuddle up with Billy Shakespeare.

God Bless,

Laura
