busy busy busy...

It has been a busy two and a half weeks at MAC! My classes are going great. I love all of my classes and the professors are amazing. There is a heavy workload, but it is spread out throughout the semester. Student Government is back to work. Right now we are working on setting up the annual awards banquet and working on changing some more policies. Colleges Against Cancer is also at work! We are getting down to business and starting to think about the upcoming Relay for Life.

I am currently working on some fund-raising for our mission trip to Jamaica. This past Friday, CAC went down to Altoona to can for Relay for Life. When we had to cross the streets to get to the intersection, it reminded me of a human game of Frogger...For only spending about forty minutes, we made a good amount of money. Well, I have to get some more reading done for tomorrow, so I'll chat later. Stay Warm...the weather is supposed to get nasty

Relaxing Weekend

It's been a bitterly cold week. Along with the snow, the mercury in the thermometer has been steadily falling for a couple of days. This weekend was pretty relaxing. I worked in Cosgrave for a good four hours on Saturday. For fun, Justin, Anthony and I watched a couple of movies together Friday and Saturday evening. We watched Shooter and Resident Evil. I really enjoyed Shooter, but didn't care too much for Resident Evil.

Our friend from Greece, Konstantinos, tagged along as Justin and I headed to Ebensburg for some supplies from Walmart. After that, we did what every college student does when they need some extra grub, go to Sheetz! That Chai Tea Latte was amazing!!!

Well, I am going to head down to dinner, do some laundry and homework, and relax by watching some football.

Let's go Giants...

First Week of Spring

The first week of the spring semester is almost at an end. So far, my classes have been pretty decent. I have a lot of reading to do, but I'll get through it. Thankfully, the books that I have started to read are interesting. This semester, I am taking four classes: Natural Disasters, The Interwar Years, Europe in the 20th Century and Catholicism. One of my assignments for Natural Disasters is a presentation on earthquakes, which I have a lot of experience thanks to my seven years in earthquake-prone Alaska.

Besides classes, I have been pretty busy with other projects and events. On Tuesday, I helped out with New Student Orientation. I presented on web registration, using email, and the use of blackboard for class. Today, we had a quick Student Government meeting. Later on tonight, I am going to head to the gym for a quick workout. After that, I am going to work on some more things for classes.

That's about it for now,

John

Finally Back

Hey guys! I just wanted to update you on my status...I am officially back to Mount Aloysius. I am ready for all of my friends to get back and for the semester to officially begin. I drove up a couple of hours ago, unloaded my car, and started unpacking some of my stuff. I can't believe how much stuff can fit into my car.

My Christmas break was amazing. I got some cool stuff including a set of luggage for my trip to Jamaica for Spring Break. It's going to be awwwesome!! During the rest of the break I just sat back, relaxed, and watched a couple of movies. It was great. I slowly started to get bored, but I think I could have handled another two weeks of doing absolutely nothing.

Later on tonight I am going to finish unpacking, clean up my room, and head out to Altoona to hang out and celebrate with some friends. Well, my stomach has started to growl, so that means it's time to grab some grub...
