Finals Week

Finals weren't too bad this time around. I had three big papers, two presentations and one test. I am really glad that it is all over and I can't wait to see what my grades are going to be. Yesterday, we had an ice storm come through, so classes were canceled. I was supposed to take a final test, but I had a choice of taking it today or keeping the grade that I already had. I chose the latter option, since I already had an A. :D

The hardest part of this week was saying goodbye to all of my friends and professors. I am going to miss all of them, but I am glad to finally get a chance to go home and hang with my family for a month. Later on tonight, I have to close down the dorms, and make sure things get done. Then, I get to go home! I will definitely have to update you this Christmas...

Well, I have to pack up my things and head to dinner...That includes my computer... :P

Merry Christmas!

Winding Down

This semester is rapidly winding down. I can't believe that I have only one more week left of classes! I have been super busy working on final assignments, studying for finals, and finishing up club stuff for the semester. I did have a couple of breaks during this hectic time...

In order for our group to go to Jamaica for a mission trip, we have to raise funds. One of the ideas was to participate in the Open Minds, Open Hearts Bake Off. I made and sold some trail mix for the event. Overall, we did pretty good. We even won the Chocolate Chip Cookie Contest! Later on in the evening was our annual Community Night. The gym was packed with fans while we watched the Mounties take on our rivals from Greensburg. During breaks, Laura and I sold some more of our delicious baked goods for Jamaica. It was an exciting game and I even won a T-Shirt!

The following night was Christmas at the Mount. During the day, I helped prepare mocktails and set up tables in the cafeteria. As a club, CAA helped prepare Christmas Bags for the children who came to celebrate with us. We even provided arts and craft activities and a book raffle for the children to do. It is always a wonderful event.

Well, I have to get going and finish up some work before the Steelers play the Patriots.

Let's go Steelers!

Ciao
