Mountie Madness
After a crazy weekend, I feel that I am ready for another week of school. Yesterday, I helped to put the finishing touches on the set for the next play. The actors are reading some stories and poems by Edgar Allen Poe. Vox Nova, the Mount Aloysius College choir, will perform some musical pieces for the audience to enjoy. It should be an interesting performance. The showtimes are for this Wednesday and Thursday at 6pm. Everyone should come out and enjoy a night of Poe!
Tonight was Mountie Madness! It was an exciting night, which kicked off the basketball season. The basketball teams played a few scrimmages. There were also three-point contests and a slam-dunk competition. Some of the plays were amazing. I really liked it when Edgar Sampson leaped over four students to make a dunk. There were also prizes, and chances to win t-shirts, a trip for two to Atlantic City, and a chance to win $10,000. I helped the concession stand sell some of their amazing food. Since our popcorn machine was broken, we found another source of food for the crowd to enjoy, kettle corn.
I am currently into an old-school mood, so I have been listening to 80s music all day, while playing some Legend of Zelda. Well, I am going to go "Walk Like an Egyptian," so I will blog some more later...
