Return to Mount Aloysius College
I am excited to be back at Mount Aloysius in my third year as a History/Political Science major. Although I had a great and relaxing summer, I really missed all of my friends. Because of my involvement in many activities during the school year, I was invited to move in early and participate in Mount Aloysius College's Fourth Annual Leadership Empowerment Days. I moved in on Thursday, August 24, and I was thrilled when I saw that some of my friends were moving in also. On Friday, we journeyed to Boswell, Pennsylvania, to enhance our leadership and teamwork skills at the Outdoor Odyssey Ropes Course. It was a lot of fun, and I learned countless new things about my fellow colleagues and myself. Thanks to the encouragement of my friends, I made my way to the top of the rock wall. I do not think I could have made it without them.
On Saturday, we volunteered to help the new students move into the residence halls. It was great to meet new people, and I can recall the first day that I moved in two years ago. We also helped the returning students move in on Sunday. Today I worked in Cosgrave Student Center since I did not have class this morning. I saw some of my former classmates as well as several of my new friends. Well, I have to get ready for my classes tomorrow, so this is where I am signing off for the night...
