Week Three Update
What's up future Mounties?
Last night was a clear black night with a clear white moon. I was trying to consume lots of knowledge and to absorb all of the reading that I have been contemplating over the past several weeks.
It's week three, and the classes continue with rigor. I scored a 4/5 on my math quiz, GRRRR. But, I followed it up with a hundred percent on my religion quiz, and turned in a pretty decent paper in Women's History. Dr. Smith just finished discussing the last dynasty of China, who weren't even Chinese, and Dr. Rolfe is starting to blow our minds with the religions of India. Awesome! The reading assignments are starting to increase, but that's what I like about my life as a history major.
I don't have to look at my schedule to remember where I'm going now, so that's a step in the right direction.
I caught my first cold of the year. I spent most of the day coughing and disturbing the class with my sneezes. My cold medicine cut out in the middle of my night class which was totally brutal. I think it's starting to clear up. Today I can use one nostril!
Opening Convocation is today. It's a requirement for the Cultural Literacy Seminar course. I am not sure what it is, but I'm excited to find out. I know that they have brought in a special guest speaker, so it should be an interesting new experience.
That's about all that is new with me. My friend Julie, who is also an admissions counselor here at Mount Aloysius College, is in Eastern Pennsylvania this week, grabbing up new Mounties for next year, and I'm anxious to see her and to hang out with my other friends at the end of the week.
